Due to surgery, I will be out from November 19th 2021 until my return on December 6th. Therefore it is absolutely crucial that you do not allow your child to fall behind on their work as I will not be able to send you updated reminders on how to check to make sure your student has completed the necessary work. You will need to view the lesson plans in order to know what lessons need to be completed.
- Zearn: Any lesson listed for the week needs to be completed prior to the Friday before the assessments. This week is Mission 4, Lessons 15-18. That means these lessons have to be COMPLETED.
- iReady: 2 Lessons (passed) per week.
- MobyMax: The students who are required to complete MobyMax need to complete 30 minutes per week.
*NOTE* Any lessons (including iReady, Zearn, or MobyMax) not completed in my absence will be accrued and will be need to be made up prior to any future Fun Friday. To prevent this from happening, please check their assignments every day to assure they are up to date. (I will not be able to verify for you as all information is able to be checked via logging into their own accounts).

Welcome back to school! This is going to be a great year! Please use this week to help your child practice independently logging in to their vPortal. (http://launchpad.classlink.com/volusia). Your assistance with this step will help us drastically reduce the time it takes students to log into their portal at the beginning of the school year.
Students will be using vPortal to do iReady as well as monitoring their progress through the gradebook/focus system.
Other websites we frequently will use are: iXL.com and Zearn.org. Please make sure your students are completing their weekly independent Zearn lessons as each lesson builds upon the next. Each Zearn lesson includes 2 fluency practices before the actual independent lesson.

This is our last week of the quarter. While we have some live lessons (Math: 8:00am, Specials, Reading: 12:30am) this is primarily a make up week. Your child will still be expected to check in for attendence every day at 8am and participate in all live lessons.
Any child who is below a C in any subject, has the chance to make up a SUMMATIVE (any grade under a 70%), which will be made available to them this week. These makeup tests are due NO LATER than Thursday 3/18/21 at 12:00pm. No exceptions.)
